What is Stage 3 thinking critically?
Stage 3 thinkers are close-minded toward other viewpoints, especially those that disagree with theirs. Information is knowledge regardless of whether we think critically about it. There is no guarantee that information will be accurate, even when you carefully select knowledgeable sources.
When you participate in SWEET's Certificate Course on the Clinical Tao, you will learn that there are three stages of knowing. You will learn that the first stage is “Not Knowing;” the second stage is “Knowing;” and the third and last stage is “Not Knowing.”
Researchers propose six levels of critical thinkers: Unreflective thinkers, Challenged thinkers, Beginning thinkers, Practicing thinkers, Advanced thinkers, and Master thinkers. The framework comes from educational psychologists Linda Elder and Richard Paul.
Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.
Critical-thinking skills connect and organize ideas. Three types distinguish them: analysis, inference, and evaluation.
Stage 3: Thinking Critically represents the most advanced intellectual level, as people realize that some views are better than others, and it is their responsibility to develop informed beliefs by thinking for themselves.
Stage 3: Expand
Student learning in this stage is measured using more qualitative, rather than quantitative, measurement. Obtaining this stage is important to the student to be able to understand, rather than simply know, the curriculum.
They are (1) memorization, (2) understanding and (3) applying. Memorization is the lowest stage (regurgitation). Although it is the lowest stage, attainment of the higher stages is not possible without it (although memorization and understanding can occur at the same time). Applying is the highest stage of learning.
Note that the largest, boldest word is taxonomy. The hallmark phrases emerging for the third stage are content management (or enterprise content management) and taxonomies.

The third stage of labor is the shortest and the easiest. After your baby is born and the umbilical cord is cut, there is usually a lull for several minutes. Then your uterus starts contracting again. These contractions are not as strong as pushing contractions.
The third phases of teaching are evaluation and feedback. It is the last stage of instruction.
Phase III – Reflecting.
Reflection fosters an awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes and supports learning new skills. Reflection can apply to both the content being studied and the process of learning itself.
The third kind of knowledge is the knowledge that knows the essence of each and every thing as a way that God causes himself to exist.

To start off, Golding mentions that grade-three thinkers are the type of people that follow orders and not able to think for themselves. They act just like robots. He also says that they do not have any control over their emotions.
Evaluation. Critical thinking culminates in measuring the results. Determine the correct metrics, accurately measure what worked and what did not.
Dispositions: Critical thinkers are skeptical, open-minded, value fair-mindedness, respect evidence and reasoning, respect clarity and precision, look at different points of view, and will change positions when reason leads them to do so.
You can determine a candidate's critical thinking skills by asking them to describe past experiences or presenting them with hypothetical scenarios. Your questions should be thought-provoking, but not tricky for the sake of it. You are there to encourage a candidate to give a full response.
Monitoring an exam is not an example of critical thinking abilities.
